Let’s talk

The Poppy seed project
As a photographer, I am privileged to work on some really special projects. However, few of these projects have been as near and dear to my heart as the one I undertook for my dear friend Niamh Andrews. In March 2023, Niamh gave birth to Poppy at 27 weeks, weighing just 3.3lbs. It was an incredibly difficult time, but Poppy, Niamh and her husband James were warriors, and after spending 78 days in Craigavons children ward, they were finally able to take Poppy home. .
I had the privilege of photographing Niamh, as a new mother who was looking to preserve her memories of Poppy's birth. We had a great time talking about sleep deprivation, birth trauma and poop! Niamh said it felt like she had gotten something back that had been taken away from her. We spoke a little bit more about this photography session and we both agreed that there must be other mommies out there that would feel the same way and that is how the Poppy seed Project was germanted!

I will never claim to be a new born photographer, this is something more relaxed more open and more chatty its for the mum to have some girl time in her pjs and talk whilst getting photographs done of her beautiful bundle of joy and if mummy wants some with her bundle well that's just a bonus but not a must!
How does it work?
The session only takes two hours. Just send me an email when you have the capacity to do so and I will call round at a time that suits you best. It is completely free but only based within Northern Ireland. If you have a friend you would like to refer to me that has had a premature baby that amazing I will make up a beautiful voucher and post it to her door. Payment for the voucher will be a small donation to the The Premature Baby Charity for Northern Ireland if it is within your means.
I will add the link below
